Why do they use 'human' apostates?

I embrace their compliment that I am "not of their sort." Whew!

So, why human apostates? As others have said, there are "demon" apostates and alien apostates. Could there be amoeba apostates?

I LOVE being a jw "human apostate" - I'm an Anglican Church of England member hehe.

Thank you, all of you for your answers. I figured it was something like that, still sounds weird to non jw ears though.

Mr. Flipper, I have already heard all about the aliens being demons out to fool us.......sigh.

All authoritarian regimes need an existential enemy that they can direct their hostility towards.

Focusing the collective antipathy of the rank-and-file towards invisible spirit adversaries isn't nearly as effective (or as viscerally satisfying) as it is a group of living, breathing, flesh-and-blood boogeymen.

They can't throw stones (metaphysical or rhetorical) at a nonexistent target, after all.
