    No! And, NO!!!

Today I added a second very, very short 2000-word essay on how Watchtower advises potential candidates for baptism.

Don’t worry, you can read it without blinking twice, and it tells a whopper of a story.

My article is titled No! And, NO!!! and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2013/05/no-and-no.html

PS: Credit goes where credit is deserved, or at least sometimes it works that way. In this case my inspiration comes from our very own Glander. Thanks Glander!

    Great comparison!

I didn't count the words, lol, but seems way shorter than 2000 words! Love the quotes at the end. Nice work, you & Glander. :)

Hi Marvin, Sorry if I missed something. Did you mean 200 words or less with 2 cartoons? I like the comparison you found. I guess I had made the decision to read or skim 2,000 words and nada. OK. No biggie. lol

To those already awake, "LOL", but to those still asleep, "WTF? Next...?"

Perhaps way too subtle for those with sleep-loving brain cells.

    steve2,

In my experience it’s hard to tell what might get a person to start thinking things over. So I put plenty out there for lots of different folk. Sometimes all it takes is a bit common sense placed immediately beside the absurd.

But, of course, that don’t help the guy who’s still trying to figure out how to tie his slip-on shoes does it?

You're right Marvin. My comments were not an indictment on your excellent cartoons, but more about the mentally-dulled state of many Witnesses. I'm a great believer that, under the right circumstances, mental dullness can be "arrested" and turned around.

Sometimes it may involve a sudden realization that snaps the "sleeping" person into finally seeing something so clear it cannot be ignored such as my own sudden realization one day: "I'm only doing this out of fear of what those elders think! Man do I need to get a life!"
