Baptism: Anointed Christian Ritual?

    T he problem here is you still believe in the "classes"

    which is a false WT doctrine. There is no "earthly class"

    defined in scripture. So to talk of before this date, and 1935

    or 1919 as being some 'biblical time marker' is ludicrous.

    People can live BOTH on earth and in heaven

    there is no iron curtain separting the two worlds when Christ extends

    his kingdom to the earth. Why discuss this with only WT references ?

    The scriptures say you are baptized with holy spirit, not restricted to

    certain "classes" or time periods. You are using WT theology

    which has NO biblical support.

    Jesus said baptize in the name of;

    the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit.

    ALL Christians are part of the Body of Christ.

    In EVERY TIME PERIOD - ITS NOT TIME DEPENDANT

    You are assuming the reasoning of the Watchtower;

    that God "annointed" a "sole channel of communication"

    this doctrine is to support the WT governing body as your

    unquestioned leaders. The scriptures do not support this.

    We are all annointed and serve as the body of Christ as individual members.

    THAT is what the Bible says. It does NOT say "at a certain time God chooses these

    special men to be his sole channel"

    Jesus Christ is the sole channel, the mediator.

    Why is this so hard to grasp ????

    Its NOT ABOUT "ruling" and "superior rank" and

    whose in heaven and whose on earth.

    Don't you think if Jesus taught that he would have

    mentioned it somewhere ?? The scriptures the WT uses to

    try to establish an "earthly class" is "other sheep I have which are

    not of this fold" But in the next sentence, Jesus adds them to the

    fold and they all become ONE flock.

    Why do you, who have claimed to be free of the WT,

    still cling to this false teaching of classes?????

    Take off the blinders and read the scriptures.

    This is like listening to Abbot and Costello Whose on First.

    VillageGirl:

    I think Emery & Blondie are just pointing out the WT position and inviting comments on it.

    Yes, Bobcat, as I have said many times before in my posts, REPORTING NOT SUPPORTING.

    villagegirl please re-read my original post. This thread is relating to the born-again practice of baptism being performed upon the non-anointed class. We are merely pointing out that the WT is not consistent with their very own theology. Baptism should not be performed on members of the other sheep if they are not born-again christians. Its symbolism is no different than partaking of the bread and the wine.
