Allow me to point out a speculative possibility: it could turn out that this legal move might coincide with a mammoth scandal in Britain.

The situation seems to be "moving up the ladder" - with rumors about investigations of the highest members in British society. I will avoid repeating who this may entail because things are different in the United Kingdom. Again, it appears to be going higher and higher.....

I can't even post all the links because they seem to disappear, 'page not found'.

My point is that, the Society could get 'hit' (by coincidence) just as this huge scandal gets uncovered. Tarred with the same brush, perhaps.

I saw the article this morning in The Age... which is a mainstream, credible newspaper and this article occupies a decent area too...it's kinda hard to miss.

Sadly, Steven Unthank`s previous court appearances didn`t receive a great deal of coverage by the media in the state of Victoria ,let alone Australia .

The Age newspaper is printed and distributed in the state of Victoria,it can be obtained in other states major cities, though you have to seek it out.

Having said that we can spread the article around via FB, twitter,Blogs or whatever, every bit helps.I do hope something comes of it this time.

    From the article

Vincent Toole, solicitor for the Jehovah's Witnesses, said the fact that the church got working with children checks had nothing to do with Steven Unthank, whom he suggested was behind the court case. ''We find it disappointing that he continues to misrepresent our organisation.''

Strange how the solicitor claims they are an organisation not a religion or perhaps the more honest Gods true and only organisation on earth(tm).

sigh...i used to like Vincent, now I just see a toole.

interesting way of getting the media attention: CHILDREN taking class action.

very intersting, and i hope the forum is not smothered by 'please explains' by people who dont get how australia's legal system is different to theirs...just keep your eye on it.
