Religionists are threatened by persons who can and do think and reason.
God, I believe, is delighted with such persons.
Hopefully some believers can add more insights on this.
Scripture refers to "eternal life" around 46 times.
The offer does not apply to the "militantly ignorant" and the "malignantly self-righteous" (self-centred religionists).
Salvation cannot be earned, deserved or paid for.
It is a free gift granted by unmerited favour (grace) to those who "see" their dysfunction and need, and consequently choose to humbly yield to the "unabridged gospel" and to the deep inner healing and transformation that only the Holy Spirit can produce (unlike men and their discredited religions).
