That woman shoulda sung the whole damn song for pat

Seven swan a swimmin' . Means the same thing

Even our cats are different. A cat from the north says MEOW. A southern cat says Me'YALL

I agree that was a dumb decision. I have heard worse accents before. I once heard a woman of Geman/Austrian decent say "The Vashington Monument" and she was ok. Makes you wonder that if it had been any other accent other than a Southern one, would they have done the same.

Swimming and Swimmin' mean two different things ?????

    Yes. It deals with location.

If the act occurs in the English-speaking parts of the country, it is referred to as "swimming."

If the act occurs in parts of the Deep South, it is referred to as "swimmin" and spelled without the ending "g".

It's like International Football ... they call it football in most parts of the world and soccer here in the USA. Same game, but different words.

So yes, the puzzle was referring to the English Speaking areas of the country.
