    Thankyou George.

I was almost certain I had the spelling wrong. I do know an Elgar so hence the confusion.

I remember David Algar as a particularly animated speaker.

In all probability, a very pleasant fellow.

    So do I, or at least a V A R I A T I O N of it....... (English joke)

David Algar was an excellent speaker, as was David (Cream cake) Carter and even Ron Drage. The delivery wasn't the problem so much as the content.

    George

Yes, I agree. It was the content that was wrong. His talents are employed to make a false message appear more plausible.

A useful asset for the WT I would think!!!

i knew Bevan and his wife--as CO in staffs--i was newly married--late 60's--he was not much older than me--a likeable guy.

i remember wilf gooch--UK branch servant---i liked his talk ability.
