In 1973 some guy was checking in at New York bethel. A friend of mine, saw him drive up on a motorcycle. Bob Lang was walking across the street between the 107 and 124 Columbia heights St.

The guy ask Bob “is this Brooklyn Bethel?” Bob said, “Yes, why?” ‘I’m checking in!” the biker said. Bob Lang said, “You can’t have a motorcycle here at Bethel!” “Are you sure?” the biker asked. “YES” Bob said. “BYE” is all the biker said, and drove away. We all thought he was the smartest guy on the planet, and the luckiest!

    New Boy,
now THAT was a Biker Dude!

    I can see that happening.
Bob Lang came up to Watchtower Farms shortly after that,
and even had a short stint as Farm Overseer, when they kicked
Harlan Graves out of the Top Spot for being such an All-Round Jerk.

This was before Lon Schilling became the WTFarms Top Dog.

Lang always reminded me of the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
    A Big Pudgy Weenie Wuss.

Bob Lang was the #2 man in the bethel office, just under G. COUCH

    Hi all,

An interesting postscript is that Bob Lang, one of the nicer guys in authority at the Bethel Office, was reputed to be a biker from Detroit before he got to the big house. I found that hard to swallow, since he seemed more than a bit square. By the way, he and his wife, Sue Ness, were very close friends with Ray and Cynthia Franz.
