Do not . . . be called “leaders,” for your Leader is one, the Christ.—Matt. 23:9, 10.

Christendom’s churches have human leaders, such as the pope of Rome, the patriarchs and metropolitans of the Eastern Orthodox churches, and the heads of other religions. Jehovah’s Witnesses recognize no human as their leader. They are not disciples or followers of any man. This is in line with Jehovah’s prophetic utterance concerning his Son: “Look! As a witness to the national groups I have given him, as a leader and commander to the national groups.” (Isa. 55:4) The international congregation of anointed Christians and their “other sheep” companions want no leader other than the one Jehovah has given them. (John 10:16) They subscribe to Jesus’ statement: “Your Leader is one, the Christ.” w10 9/15 4:1

This organization is so two faced it is unbelievable! If you were to say the Governing Body are not your leader and you only follow Christ, it is enough to be disfellowshipped and thats a fact!

Greybeard: I saw that as well. They know the j- dubs worship the G.B. The G.B. have set themselves up as popes of the watchtower, what hypocrites.

I loved how the statements in the first paragraph ...

"Jehovah's Witnesses recognize no human as their leader. They are not disciples or followers of any man."

... were contradicted a few paragraphs later:

"The anointed and their other sheep companions recognize that by following the lead of the modern-day Governing Body, they are in fact following their Leader, Christ."

Unless the GB aren't human? Or a man or group of men can somehow 'lead' others without being 'leaders,' and people can follow a man or group of men without being 'followers.'

the speaker at today meeting said the bible and our brains are to powerful for us to handle so we need the slave class to understand the bible ! the lack of logic is sicking

They admit that the Faithful and Discreet Slave Class, AKA: The Governing Body, is the mediator between the Rank and File and Christ. In the daily text they conveniently ignore this fact and inaccurately portray themselves as selfless followers of Christ when in fact they follow appointed men in Brooklyn New York (soon to be Warwick) who claim to speak FOR Christ. Sickening.

Catholics believe that by following the pope they are following their leader the christ......same argument.....DUH !

The only difference is , you are more likely to be kicked out if you are a JW and disagree with YOUR LEADERS

First, I would rather have Satan than Jesus (or the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger) as my leader.

Second, if they claim Jesus as their leader, yet they put their own Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger ahead of Jesus, that is not doing as they claim to be doing. The Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger takes the LIE-ble, as bad as it is, and further corrupts it to suit their nefarious plans. Of course they can't do it without the backing of the filthy angels who are bent on enslaving us all--otherwise, people would not stay in it.

Greybeard good eye on this daily text, it proves once again the members of JWN know the Watchtower's literature better than their rank and file do! What knuckleheads to write double-tongued nonsense!

JWN Forum Members are like the crazy artist chefs at "Benihana Teppanyaki bars", taking the strange meat and wild veggies the FDS provides and turning it into real entertainment on JWN. Poor dubs are more like Subway or Mac Donalds employees, trying to slop things together, hoping their spiritual food taste a little less bland with their "new-lite dressing"

How is it then that the WTS says the elders "take the lead" if they aren't leaders?

(Hebrews 13:7) . . .Remember those who are taking the lead among YOU, who have spoken the word of God to YOU, and as YOU contemplate how [their] conduct turns out imitate [their] faith.

(Hebrews 13:17) . . .Be obedient to those who are taking the lead among YOU and be submissive, for they are keeping watch over YOUR souls as those who will render an account; that they may do this with joy and not with sighing, for this would be damaging to YOU.

So the elders lead without being leaders? This includes GB, CO, DO, who are also considered elders.

So if you bake bread, you are not a baker?
