Pretty good book and film. Currently reading 11/22/63 by King. Halfway through - it is as good as his older stuff.

Not exactly, I find it hard to compare movies to the tv show. Movies only have to sustain the storyline for 2 to 3 hours, unless it is a trilogy or like Star Wars.
And who is better than Christopher Walken?

Interesting. Dead zone is also involving time. The guy sees into the future. I liked how he could check on changes to the future that his action had caused.

Read a lot of Stephen King novels when I was in high school. Last book of his I read was Needful Things years ago. A doctor I work for gave me a copy of Duma Key but I haven't read it yet. Loved his early novels, however Firestarter was the most boring to me.

I'm a big Stephen King fan. One book of his, Under the Dome, I could not finish. Not because it was bad; it was pretty good. I couldn't finish it because I could absolutely see Witnesses acting the same way after the Big A- getting all Lord of the Flies on those who bucked the system.

I really liked The Stand, a miniseries. Reminds me a little of "the end" and the WTS concept of only a few people surviving. Of course, it only involves the US, no mention of the people in the rest of the world. I have to confess I have watched it about 7 times.
I found The Shining too disturbing and have never sat through the whole thing.
I did like Firestarter. Might read the Colorado Kid since I have been watching Haven. Saw Dolores Claiborne, disturbing but I identified with the main character.
Pizza and movies, I eat it too fast, can't make it last for 1 hour let alone 2. I stick to popcorn and diet pepsi.
