Good for you! The moment I decided to become a "fader", I went out and bought a box of Christmas cards to send to estranged relatives! I cannot describe the deep sense of satisfaction it gave me. I was determined to mend fences and re-establish relationships with people I once knew before I got involved with this vacuum of a religion before it was too late!
Christmas is not bad or 'evil' and I really don't think the religion actually CARES when Jesus was born. They just want to isolate you from your fleshly family. They are afraid you might notice that your family loves you no matter what you believe which is in sharp contrast to the cold judgmental phoneyness at the kingdom hall. Their objective is to sever the relationship between the new JW and their unbelieving family.
