And yes, JWs do get name dropped in the source article as one of the two families who actually pull their kids, but it says "dozens" are upset about the "religeous practices" of yoga:

My wife was looking into a "mommy and me" yoga class for toddlers, and it sounds like a cool school to actually have a program like that; what's wrong with all these parents?

Yeah, born agains freak out about yoga in school.

The reality? Some yoga instructors claim that regular yoga can be very beneficial for young children in particular.

How come? Because kids can't sit still for very long and getting them into yoga exercise every so often helps them to learn peaceably.

At least, that's what some inner city teachers claim.

Definitely NOT only a JW hang-up. It is a fundie hang-up and I consider JW's pretty fundie---even though we generally don't use that word to describe them. There are fundamentalists in all religions.

Yeah, there is an increase in the number of fundies who don't like Halloween, for example, 'cause of the pagan/Catholic origins. Same thing, I guess.

I wonder if I could get in trouble for Wii-fit yoga? I am sure JW's play it. It is pretty dumb to pull your kid out of school for stretching and breathing.
