I got my VAT back, but had to pay the US government. I do pay my taxes.
My point is that VAT seems to be a red tape nuightmare.
The US has state sales tax, which as a business owner myself is easy to pay and file (I don't need an accountant or book-keeper).
But, unfortunately we have alot of people buying through internet sales (out of state) and don't pay sales tax through loopholes in the system
