Suuuuuuuuure they're able to leave... And then their family will shun them, their wife/husband will probably divorce them - AND attempt to obtain sole custody of the kids so they can be raised in a "proper Christian" household , and if they're employed as a janitor by another Jehovah's Witness - well, THAT 'gravy train' will derail in a New York minute...
