    Hi everybody!

When I was a kid in the meetings, bored out my brains, I'd try and read the "Watching the World" articles just because they seemed less 'spiritual' than the rest.

Then, only now looking back on it, I realise how negative they were. Here's my take on them: http://www.jehovahswitnessblog.com/cult/jehovahs-witnesses-watching-the-world/

What do you think of them?

    Regards,

    King Agag

I enjoyed reading your observations about the nature of the Watchtower filter bubble. You're right- on occasion there would be a tidbit about the world's largest ant or a computer that creates soft serve ice cream; but by and large, it was like the Debbie Downer version of news.

I remember a lot of stories about starving babies with swollen bellies, etc. As stated, the message was perfectly clear: "see how bad things are getting? Told ya' so!"

And anytime a govt leader announced a peace treaty with the words, "peace and security" in their announcement, you could guarantee you'd see it later in WTW. Chicken Littles......
