The only reason Catholics cases are always in the press it is because of the nature of this country, founders were actually running away from authorities/persecution like Catholic church in Europe among others things ... the press is always biased against Catholics here in the USA...at least they are not afraid to show their faces in the media either and give press conferences... they offer 800 numbers for their clerly and laymen to call in for counseling and advised them both to call the authorities and denounce pedos in their ranks ... I have never seen such a thing in the magazines from the Watchtower ... these days most dioceses have programs to deal with child abuse ... I am not Christian Catholic but I have seen their programs and read their monthly magazines they sent their parishioners and includes ad for victims of sexual abuse, they also ask the clergy to seek help if they feel any inclinations ... SO MY RESPECTS TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ...

It's going to take putting a few high-level JWs in prison before we see such similar changes.

in the meanntime slapping them with some big $$$$$ judgements is the next big thing....

    awareness is a beautiful thing....

the thin edge of the wedge gets a lot of people thinking - especially when they drop money in to the contribution boxes....

when they know their hard earned money is going to the PPF (pedofile protection fund) they may think twice before parting with money that can bring a little better life to their own families

Maybe this hasn't been noted before but Attorney Robert J. Schnack (SBN 191987) has never been a JW. He works for a law firm, BULLIVANT HOUSER BAILEY PC of Gold River, CA, which I have been told doesn't even specialize in child abuse. ([email protected])

The WT also used Mr. Schnack to defend themselves in the Love & Norris (Plaintiff's side) seven (7) California lawsuits settled out-of-court by WT in 2007.

Wow, he's not a JW and he doesn't specialize in child abuse? Was he the only person that would agree to take the WT case? WT must have really had to pay him well.

LOL- Billy and Barb, perhaps he is one of those evil Catholic attorneys and lost the case on purpose!
