Between the two, the American Legion was much more agressive to the Witnesses than the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars).

The witnesses back in the early sixties used to call the VFW - "Veterans Fight Witnesses", but it was actually the Legion that gathered pitchforks and flaming torches.

As I said before - the witnesses themselves really started this fight on Rutherfordian rather than Christian rhetoric.

You know, reading about the incidents of early JW's, the tarring and feathering, the arrests, the executions in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Unions, etc: if they could only have looked forward in time to see the sorry organization it has become, with the child molestation cases, the paranoia, the money grubbing, the downright ignorance of the majority of the members today, how hard would they have fought for their cause then?

True, but Halliburton sure seems to like it there.

Yeah, right on the west edge of the old Healdton oilpatch. I remember riding a big black 85' V-Max about 100mph right in front of the Halliburton HQ building. Don't know why that memory comes to mind.

Sort of like if Karl Marx could have lived to see Joseph Stalin or Mao Tse Tung?

The result we see now has genetic seeds all the way back to C. T. Russell.

As evidence from Jim Jones - it is far easier to start a bad religion than it is to start a good one.
