  I am just curious to have any updates on the reaction of the video, if any, to

  the various media outlets, etc.?

  Growing up forced to listen to this kind of crap, I really feel for the young

  people that are now facing what I did. It was bad enough have the Bible

  Story Book thrown in my face and reliving the scary memories of that awful

  orange book, Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained. Although I left when I

  was 18 (SOME YEARS AGO) I still bear the emotional scars of the

  mind controlling rhetoric thrown my way as an impressionable child. I can

  only imagine the damage this video will instill in young people since it's so

  closely tied into what should be fun, harmless, childhood entertainment.

  This organization has literally taken away everything that children find fun,

  playful and amusing, and replaced it with fear and guilt....fear and guilt that

  these children will carry with them their whole lives, even if they manage to

  break free, like I did.

  I wish there was something more I could do. If there is, let me know. I just

  am very disturbed at this, so much so, that I couldn't sleep last night.

  I have sent links to media contacts and as yet have heard nothing. I know Amelia is getting loads of hits and comments on her you tube, but I think it is primarily Ex-JWs.

  I wish I could say I was, but so far nothing from the press. Mind you, with the "mentally diseased" thing it was a while before I got a reply from an interested journalist, so maybe it's too early to write off hearing from someone just yet.

  I think it's worth noting that this whole thing has a "feel" about it as though it's taking on a life of its own. Amelia's video is on 5,339 views and rising. I've had a completely unprecedented 416 "likes" on my article, which is unheard of for something JW-related. The visitors continue to flock in to jwsurvey to read the article from all over the web, predominantly facebook. Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but it certainly feels like something is brewing. All it will take is for one "out of the box" journalist with an eye for a story to pick this up, and it will explode.

  I tried contacting "mumsnet" and got a nice email back saying that they don't do editorial stuff, it's very much just a forum-based discussion. Perhaps if we keep emailing it to various journalists (freelancers included) and forums, and just keep plugging away, we might hit gold.

  However, the momentum already gathered is very encouraging. Whenever the phone goes in my office I'm answering it with my best "interview" voice, just in case it's a journalist...

  I have a funny feeling about this. We haven't heard the last of Sparlock!
