Has anyone circulated factsheet to local JW's?

A group of exJWs in the south of the UK are considering putting together a factsheet containing information about:

    a) the WTBT involvement with United Nations,

b)the lies told by the WTBTs to the court in the case of Jehovah's Witnesses v Bulgaria in the European Court of Human Rights

This factsheet will be sent to all local JWs in the hope that it might cause some of them to start thinking about the religion they are willing to die for.

This factsheet will not be in anyway slanderous, and will purely point out the FACTS and give no personal opinion.

Has anyone else done anything similar? and if so what was the response, if any?

not trying to be funny or anything like that , but was the above suppose to be the joke line- i don't mean any harm or trying to dog your efforts ,but i'm thinking about the basic manner in which jw are trained and this type of approach in my view is the least effective
but perhaps if it save one life it is indeed worth it- it would perhaps be better to send it to the local churches and religious editors of newspapers for they are MOST WILLLING TO LISTEN

as soon as this info hits the first Society Mans' mailbox the LOCAL NEEDS FOR THAT WEEK WIll be on apostasy and they will literally scare the Sh!ts out of the rank and file talking about spiritual Porno-

i have seen force feeding a jw to be the least effective way- but then again perhaps those on the fence this will push them over

    wish you must success

I totally agree with Malcom (JT).

Spiritual shields go up, flyer goes in trash, elders get called, local needs talk, dubs "persecuted".

No, if these idiots want to be in, then let them be in. I personally don't want ANYONE else to be in. Newspapers, media outlets, churches, grocery store bulletin boards (oops, I said bulletin) should be the outlets. Education "friends" and family of dubs. Let them put the pressure on.

I personally think that more former jw need to read more on the Powerful effect of High Control Groups- it's not so much that the jw want to be in PER SAY , but it is how they are trained to react under certain circumstances

and the avg jw has spent years being groomed on how to respond to NAY NEGATIVE OF THE ORG - and i have seen it OVER AND OVER AND OVER

FORMER JW WILL print out a ton of "FACTS' "PROOFS" "DOCUMENTATION" AND on and on and they will drop it on the family member who is a jw or a friend and the friend will do a couple of things- take the UN ISSUE

    1. deny that the site and the info is REAL- APOSTATES MADE UP THE SITE AND PUT WT ON THE SITE

    2. OK THEY ARE PART OF THE UN, but there is A GOOOD REASON AND I WILL WAIT TILL THE SOCIETY TELLS ME WHAT IT IS

so here you are standing there with what should be a BOMB shell and the jw has shot your Sh!t out of the water, took the wind right out of your sail.

so if you show the un to say 100 jw THE BREAK DOWN GOES LIKE THIS IN MY VIEW

    75% would deny it

20% would admit but wants to wait for the org to explain

3% will admit and agree it is the worst thing that they could do
AND THEY ARE WAITING FOR JAH TO CLEAN IT OUT

2% WILL SEE IT IS TIME TO GET THE HE!! OUT

APOSTATES MADE UP THE SITE AND PUT WT ON THE SITE

I love this one. And you know the borg has been conditioning its members for this - we had received talk after talk about how dangerous the internet is, and how useless the information on it is. Apostates have saturated it, blahblahblah. When my dad was studying, he was actually counselled once for using information he found on the web in a comment (in complete harmony with what the book we were studying said, but it was from THE NET!!!)

A GOOOD REASON AND I WILL WAIT TILL THE SOCIETY TELLS ME WHAT IT IS

Funny, too. When I told my wife about it, her first reaction was #1 - 'Oh, it was faked'. Nope, sorry, wasn't. Society even admits it. 'Oh, well, there must have been a good reason'. Nope, sorry, wasn't. Library card excuse was false, etc. Of course, she was on the edge enough to go from that point to crying about being lied to.

But, I doubt most j-dubs would make that step. Or the next one, either (getting over it).

I reckon you are more likely to get results from exJWs who have not been freed mentally.
Yeah they're out of the org, but trapped in their ways.
I know I was for over 6 years.
Maybe then, these ones who have family still in it could pursuade them.
As noted, they will do a "local needs" and any who find a flyer in the mail will toss it.
As a child it happened once, and my Dad (nonJW) read it, but my mother burnt it and nutted off at Dad as if he was apostate.

I'll bet if you put a gun to the head of JWs and told them to leave their religion, a few would agree. Then we could all run around saying how this method is "effective" and encourage everyone to try it.

Fact is, no matter which method is chosen, they will all work on someone sooner or later. So the fact that you can produce anecdotal evidence of the effectiveness of this method is meaningless. All methods are effective to one degree or another.

However, JWs have been so carefully trained to view flyers or printed information 'against' them as spiritual poison, and as evidence that they are being persecuted, and as evidence that this means the WTS is right after all, I suspect this method does more harm that it does good.

A JW's mind will be curious about what they search online in the privacy of their home. Pushing something in their face will make them go rushing back to 'mother' more often than not. For every JW who responds, hundreds will be pushed further into their faith.

Just my opinion, I realize, but looking back at myself, a flyer would have done nothing to get me out, and everything to have kept me inside.

    Forget the jws...

The fliers I will be projecting are NOT for their benefit whatsoever. They will be engineered strictly for the unsuspecting householders and "lurkers" on the net and will be placed in very public places in great quantity.

The jws will then be able, yet I suspect not so willing, to have an "informative" conversation once they knock and that householder greets them with inquiries read from one of the fliers. It will be designed to put door to door "activities" of jws in my community at a lower pace. Can I singlehandedly accomplish this? I certainly am going to but all my best efforts into succeeding such. That will be an accomplishment in it/mySELF.

I agree with JT and Seeker. However, if a JW happened to come upon a flyer in a laundry mat, grocery bulletin board, newspaper ad, or TV story, the source would be much less an issue and the information would be far more likely considered.
