Can anybody copy and paste or otherwise relay what exactly is the JW's reason for condemning mother's day? I know I heard it as a kid but I never really grasped or understood it. All I remember hearing is that we should honor our mother every day and should not pick a holiday to do it (or something like that)

Basically it's just the same BS reason they condemn birthdays and just about evrything else, why ruin your day and read how they twist and turn scriptures and flip flop on issues?

Mothers day goes back to worship of the fertility goddess. Mother Earth etc. too commercial. yadda yadda yadda.
