When I accepted law firm offers, I did not take scenic views into account. I was freaking out my first day b/c it was my first day and it seemed impossible that a JW dub could practice law at a prestigious firm. Human relations gave me a quick tour of the library, where I would spend most of my time. The walls were glass with a breathtaking view of the harbor. As I held my Greek coffee cup, I saw that I was looking down on Bethel and the factories. The building with the time and Watchtower sign were the primary eyesore in the view. I trembled.
When they leave officially, I hope someone posts about it. I want to go down to the Battery ( lowest part of Manhattan) and say goodbye and good riddance.
The Witnesses lucked (yes, lucked) across prime real estate. The surrounding neighborhood is so cool with a rich history. I don't understand how even Witnesses would leave the neighborhood. Of course, they are well known for their vinyl flowers.
