I view Jesus as a mainly fictional character, maybe he lived in 1st Century Palestine, maybe he taught some great things, if so he certainly died and that was really :
"End of story" , some people, especially Saul of Tarsus, because of a very real (to him alone!) experience tried to continue the story, but that is all it is, a fiction.
And that is all we have in the 21st Century, a fictional Jesus.
That's how I view him.
