Judicial Committee Meetings – Sexual Matters

Anyone had three elders (judicial committee) question you on “sex before marriage?”

Case in point, being raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I partied with peers that were Witnesses by tradition, inherent faith. At the age of eighteen (1992), I was conversing about the elders with a group of Witnesses, and a girl who had been before a judicial committee chimed in and said, “they ask questions that are none of their fucking business.”

    What do you think?

  • RayPublisher

No, but I questioned plenty of publishers about it when I was an elder. It sucked. (no pun intended)

  • panhandlegirl

Are you joking! They really enjoy (wanted to say something else) getting into your personal sex life. You would not believe what the congregation overseer

asked me about sexual practices. I was so appalled I never told anyone about it until I was in my late thirites. I had not even heard about what he asked

asked me.They like to delve into details.I think they could get into trouble for how they behave.

At this point, I'm far enough gone that if called before a JC I'd tell them huge fabricated stories of my sexploitations.

Would doing siamese twins be one count or two counts of porneia?

Can someone (anyone) please tell me why so many witnesses guilty of adultery obtain divorces from their innocent forgiving mates, then get married without being disfellowshipped. Are we looking at favoritism or just some elders' inability to comprehend their own "secret manual"?

The following was taken from the so-called very secret Elder's Manual Entitled "PAY ATTENTION

TO YOURSELVES AND TO ALL THE FLOCK" ACTS 20:28 Kingdom Ministry School Textbook

CHAPTER HEADING: Divorce and remarriage was not Jehovah's original

    purpose for man.

" If the guilty one unilaterally obtains a divorce over the objection of the innocent mate, this does not free the guilty one to remarry. If he/she marries someone else while the innocent mate is still willing to forgive his adultery and resume their marital arrangement, his/she is an adulterous marriage. (Luke 16:18) This calls for congregation judicial action in addition to any already taken, unless he has already been disfellowshipped."

An incident in Maryland, USA some years ago, a ministerial servant's wife cheated on him and he thought he had a scriptural obligation to divorce her. So he did. Later, he found out that wasn't the requirement so he remarried his wife, who was by now disfellowshipped. So HE got disfellowshipped for marrying a disfellowshipped woman.

The rules are in place for a reason, brothers.

Then he was counseled that he needed to satisfy her more often and things like this wouldn't happen. The most remarkable thing about this case is that everyone in the circuit seemed to know all the dirty details.

JC's love their juicy bits and can't wait to share them.

Most Elders are guilty of pillow talk.

Celestial: “they ask questions that are none of their fucking business.”

But they like to think it's their business. Some elders clearly get off on it. I was on a couple of JC where at least one of the other elders was interrogating the individual asking WAY too many detailed questions. In the first case I was a new elder and just sat there thinking it was bizarre. Later I realized that it was also contrary to what was published in the "Pay Attention" book.

When it happened the second time I was the chairman and cut the brother off. The poor sister was humiliated.

Irondork, your story about a man getting disfellowshipped for remarrying his own wife really shows how ridiculous WT rules are. If it wasn't so sad I'd laugh. Hopefully they both stayed out afterwards, at least they had each other again!

I was called to a JC when I was trying to be reinstated. One of their questions was "Since you are a single man, do you masturbate?" Another of their questions was "Have you ever sexually abused children?" After the shock of those questions had passed me, I asked one of the Elder's: Are these standard questions that you ask everyone? His response was "Yes, they are standard questions that we ask everyone." I lied on the first question and there was no fire or lighting or an angel striking me dead for having lied to a JC under prayer. I can understand their second question, since from what I have been reading on different sites it is a big problem within the $ociety. I stopped going to the meetings shortly after that meeting since the organization stopped making sense to me once I read CoC, members of JWN, Freeminds and JWFacts. Good luck to all.

living their sexual lives through judicial meetings. Aren't guys pathetic? I mean really pathetic. What they will do to bust a nut. I was talking about this to my wife because we've both been through it. The elders who have no personal sex life, counseling those who have, but gleaning every sordid details to fill their own sexuality. How pathetic can men be? Anyone rememebr the pussycat theater chain? Yea sitting in a room with other men watching porn. Well a judicial meeting is kissing cousins to how pathetic men can be. They did the deed, concentrate on how it got there, not the sordid details of a Lewinsky. What patheitc losers

anezthy: I lied on the first question

This is a very interesting point. I think many of us, maybe even most, have had an experience like this where under extreme pressure we lied, weren't struck dead by an angel and then after getting over the initial fear and shock realized: This is NOT God's Arrangement.

Judicial Committees prove that God is not backing the WTBTS!!!

The implications of this are momentous. The situation that ignites the spark of light that becomes the dawning realization that this may not be, in fact IS not, God's organization is often created by the elders following the society's byzantine judicial procedures.

Soon afterwards a series of profound, life-changing realizations begin flooding into your mind and consciousness!

This was certainly how it happened for me.

you are one of the few 00DAD. and that's why u can can identify it as manure, despite all the whipped cream on top

  • 00DAD

Manure with whipped cream on top! Dude, you just ruined my appetite!!! ... lol

I started a new thread on this subject. The Judicial Committees prove that God is not backing the WTBTS!!! , not the manure one!

They only have the right to ask you about whether or not you broke God’s (wash-towel’s) rules and if you’re repentant, but that doesn’t stop them. In a JC they don’t stop asking questions until they have every sordid detail; and since witlesses are told not to go against the elderberries, they’re usually given the juicy gossip they’re pressing for.

The borg basically says only missionary position while married is acceptable; that means no porn, no masturbation, no oral or anal sex and no “kinky” stuff; they ask because they're all sexually repressed closet pervs!

  • wha happened?
    wha happened?

well in the end, whenever an elder tried to counsel me, I used to say that no matter how much whipped cream u put on it, it's still manure.

It's truly weird the lengths some elders will go to in asking unnecessary and needlessly humiliating questions in judicial committee meetings IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT THEY ARE INSTRUCTED TO NOT DO THIS!

Notice this clear, explicit instruction for elders regarding the handling of judicial cases from the "Pay Attention ... to the Flock" book, page 112:

You must ask pertinent, discreet questions to isolate main issues and determine how or why a problem developed .

    • Probing questions should not go into needless details, especially in regard to sexual misconduct, unless this is absolutely necessary, such as in determining whether pornei'a had been committed. - (Emphasis added)
    • Elders need to treat the accused kindly and respectfully, never harshly. (w89 9/15 p . 19)

I'm certainly not endorsing or even condoning the JW judicial process by quoting this, just pointing out that many times the abuses by the elders are caused by them being disobedient to the direction they are given. Probably they just can't help their sick selves!

You may have noticed that I didn't quote the entire title of the "Flock" book. The full title is actually:

To often the elders are busy focusing on "the flock" and ignoring their own issues. They need more paying attention to themselves!!!

This brings to mind a particular scripture, Matthew 7:1-5:

    1. “Stop judging that YOU may not be judged;
    2. for with what judgment YOU are judging, YOU will be judged; and with the measure that YOU are measuring out, they will measure out to YOU.
    3. Why, then, do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the rafter in your own eye?
    4. Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Allow me to extract the straw from your eye’; when, look! a rafter is in your own eye?
    5. Hypocrite! First extract the rafter from your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to extract the straw from your brother’s eye.

I dont know if it was a an official JC, how can you tell?, but after the meeting I was taken into the back room by 3 Elders and sat down whilst they gave me the third degree about being seen kissing a Sister I was courting, they where quite aggressively seeking for me to admit I had had sex with the young Lady to the extent I was allmost ready to say "yes I have!" even though I hadnt.

It then got quite bizzare when they got it in thier heads that I was being falsely accused so maybe to be more friendly?, but one of them starts going on about even though hes been married for many years, he still gets turned on when he sees his wife in the shower!!

  • OnTheWayOut

I suppose there are some that like to hear the talk from men, but if it's a sister, especially a young one and ultra-especially a pretty one, them elders loves to hear them some details.

I was chairing a JC about our sister going to third base with a guy, and she was in her twenties and drop-dead gorgeous. It was an open-and-shut case as far as I was concerned. She confessed and said enough details, I was ready to end the circus. BUT NO!!!!! One of the other elders had to hear every frigging detail. When he drags it out of her, it's the stuff masturbation fantasies are made of. The only thing he didn't get from her was for her to make motions with her hands while describing what was being touched.

I was almost ready to pull the plug on being an elder and fade away. The whole process really soured this lady. I hoped it would drive her out, BUT NO! But I bet she doesn't go right to the elders with her problems anyway.

Has anyone ever decided to RECORD one of these confessionals? It would be wonderful for a "sister" that knows she is going to DA herself that would "set up" a JC to record just what questions they are asking about sexual info on that person, in this case the "sister" secret agent.

She could go in with the DA letter in hiding and then "play" them as if she had had some illicit affair with someone. Trying to get them to ask questions that are above and beyond the norm. Then after getting the goods on the 33, explain that this was all a hoax and then she hands them her DA letter.

Then let them know later that she has recorded the conversation and it is being played on youtube etc,..

Do you think that there would be a chance that anyone could pull this off?

  • PaintedToeNail

Once upon a time, at a JC meeting, one of the elders asked 'about how many men did you do it with'? I was annoyed and thought this is none of his business...so I lied. He acted like he was REALLY interesting in all the details, which is completely unnecessary. He later got DF'd, divorced and was jobless...a fitting end.
