Yesterday during the public talk, the elder was talking

about the reality God's Kingdom said "that 7.5 million

people would not spend billions of hours going from door

to door if God's Kingdom were not real." Yep, that

cinched it for me. Now I am a believer.

After the meeting one of the sisters invited my wife

to go on a Bible study with someone who is in the hospital

that evening. My wife said that she could meet her

at the hospital after she buys groceries. The sister

asked my wife if she will be wearing slacks and my wife

said yes. The sister then proceeds "well, you can come

to the study but you can't count your time if you are not

    wearing a skirt."

Somone take a gun and just shoot me.

Wow, really? 7.5 million people wouldn't be preaching for NOTHING, would they?? Count me a believer, too! Where do I sign up?? I just love their convincing reasoning. It's no wonder they keep coming back week after week when your brain is DEAD!

ROTFLMAO!! Can't count your time if you're not wearing a skirt?? YEP that sounds about right! Gotta keep the womenz in line! Since when did Jehbooboo care if the women are wearing slacks or not??

That is just about as logical as "we said so, so there". I should really do reaction videos when I read these boards, I am sure the faces I make are hysterical.

Can't count your time if you are not in a skirt...now sister, you know you should not be usurping a man's authority by making crap up. Making crap up is only for the Governing Body to do. For shame.

  • wha happened?
    wha happened?

so slacks block Jah's spirit. Well so much for witnessing outside of service, because the sister might be wearing the devil's fashions

"...7.5 million people would not spend billions of hours going from door to door if God's Kingdom were not real." Someone in my congregation said something similar in conversation recently-- something along the lines of "well 7 million people can't be wrong." My reply was: "That logic doesn't make any sense. That's like saying '1 billion Muslims can't be wrong! Islam is the biggest faith in the world, therefore it MUST be the truth.' They stared blankly at me for a few moments, then replied: "Well, well...THAT'S DIFFERENT! Let's talk about something else." As for not being able to count your time if you're wearing slacks, I would have asked her whether that meant she wasn't able to count the time spend "informal witnessing" with pants on.

"7.5 million people would not spend billions of hours going from door to door if God's Kingdom were not real."

The lack of critical thinking skills among JWs is frightening.

I remember an elder saying "of course we have the truth if it was false it would be in all the newspapers". 16 years on I'm still trying to work that one out.
