What I have always found QUITE 'strange' in this is that some Nazirites, who were specially set aside for service to God, and therefore even MORE holier than the general population, in fact could NOT cut their hair or shave, once their baldness had regrown.
And this would include Samson and John the Baptist, and perhaps my Lord, for he was THE true Nazirite, even being from the city of the Nazirs or Nazirites, NazaRETH.
Ah, WTBTS... calling what is GOOD 'bad' and what is BAD... themselves... 'good'. Israel is yet Israel...
