    What exactly has God been waiting for for the past 2000 years since Jesus walked this earth?

    I have been wondering if the JW beliefs of the world coming to an end are literal or if the earth will always be this way but the ones who do good will go to heaven.

    Of course the JWs would say that the world is nearing its end since 1914.

    But what is realy going on here? Anyone got any ideas?

    The command is to subdue the Earth. The purpose of GOD is not God to subdue it (that is what the anti-christ teaches, isn't it?).

    The world as we know it must come to an end or it will be ruined.

    Those are the two things happening from my perspective..

    I knew the JWs were not right in all their understanding but I reasoned that if aliens (I don't believe in them, they are hypothetical) were to witness US to save some, wouldn't they save only the people who are conizant of their own power to affect the future (of Earth) for good?

    Great Question....

    Also why doesn't god make himself known to all men, not Just the Shelbys and Larsingers of this world?

    Why does he test his creation and then watch them suffer?

    All great questions.......

    Habakkuk 1

    1 The prophecy that Habakkuk the prophet received.

    Habakkuk’s Complaint

    2 How long, LORD, must I call for help,
    but you do not listen?
    Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
    but you do not save?
    3 Why do you make me look at injustice?
    Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
    Destruction and violence are before me;
    there is strife, and conflict abounds.
    4 Therefore the law is paralyzed,
    and justice never prevails.
    The wicked hem in the righteous,
    so that justice is perverted.

    The LORD’s Answer

    5 “Look at the nations and watch—
    and be utterly amazed.
    For I am going to do something in your days
    that you would not believe,
    even if you were told.

    2 Then the LORD replied: (Chapter 2)

    “Write down the revelation
    and make it plain on tablets
    so that a herald [b] may run with it.
    3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
    it speaks of the end
    and will not prove false.
    Though it linger, wait for it;
    it [c] will certainly come
    and will not delay.
