  Again I have to agree with Ding. Try not to say negative things about the religion---don't tickle the "persecution" trigger. They have already told her eveything an opposer may say to her, and if you play into that it could, in a sense, prove that all they are saying is true. After all, they were able to predict how non-believers would react, and therefore may know how satan is working.

  It's kind of like when your friend is mad at a boyfriend or husband. You listen, you're supportive, you offer comfort, but you try not to say anything bad about the other person. Because remember, if she does go the other way and chooses to go back *cringe* you don't want to have that between you because the wall will be thicker against any future attempts by you to lure her away.

  She's feeling down because she thinks she owes them some explanation and that she's subject to the same scrutiny as a baptized witness.

  They owe her an explanation for scamming her. They owe her answers to any and every question she wants to ask, whether they like those questions, or not.... and I don't mean weaseling their way out of answering her questions using diversions, character assassination, or any other devious trickery.

  Can she walk without hassle? That's what worries her.

  They will try to use every trick in their arsenal to guilt trip her into reconsidering. Remember that these people are conditional friends. She should not expect to be able to keep them as friends.

  If she is going to walk away without hassle, she has to let them know, in no uncertain terms, that she thinks their religious leaders are scamming them and that she is not falling for it. One way to do this is to ask them a question that they don't like the answer to, and cut off every attempt at trickery, making them feel guilty for every trick they try and acting offended that they would try such underhanded tactics.

  Remember ...... They are the ones that tricked her into nearly joining. It wasn't her fault that she nearly got sucked in by their smooth talk and mind control techniques.
