Pure and simple, it's likely jealousy and intimidation that sparks the WT constant whining about the Roman Catholic Church. The church is a smashing success, even down to this day. Yes, it's an imperfect church because it is filled with people, but it's pretty much the hottest thing going, if you don't count the huge mega churches springing up everywhere.

Yes, I was going to say jealousy and a sort of self-shielding. People who are busy judging something/someone else often aren't judging or even looking at themselves. That's how they don't see the truth about themselves, because they hide it from themselves, under a constant attack of something else.

Oh, yeah! Understatement. The sad thing, though, is that the KH atmosphere and casual conversation was just a tad nicer. No one seemed to care about Protestants. Also, no one was interested in bashing Eastern churches.
