    Matt.24:14
This Good News will be preached in all the earth and then the end will come.
We have all remembered that verse, studied that verse and preached that verse.
The WTS uses that verse to keep the JWs going door to door.
Of course, the WTS also says we (everyone on earth)Must become a JW in order to have Gods favor.
I was having a discussion with a born again Christian and he said the Good News that is to be preached is about Jesus having come and having been put to death for our transgressions. So that we can now aproach God on the basis of the sacrifice. In the name of Jesu Christ.
The WTS says the Good News to be preached is about the Kingdom that is to come.
What do you think the Good News that Jesus spoke of is?

If you read the whole verse, it does say:

"And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come" NWT

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come" RSV

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come" KJV

The Good News is that of the kingdom.

The real question in all of this is: "EXACTLY what is God's Kingdom?"

It is a government that will prove to be complete, unshakable and one that will last forever, and ever, ruling the earth in justice and righteousness for all eternity. -- Hebrews 12:28

Those "installed" in their respective "positions" of authority, are the "elect" of God, or the "chosen" ones of God. That's why its called "God's" Kingdom or government, since He makes ALL choices ["elect" means choice] as to who should be in what position within this new, "EARTHLY" government that will rule the earth, according to His Will. -- Matt. 6:10

We are in that time now, when God is making His "choices" of who shall lead among His people.

Do you think he'll need web developers?
That is where God is going wrong - he hasn't got a good web-site or had a successful IPO...

of course our buddy apostle paul said the "good news" had already gone out to "all the nations". So it was a done deal long ago! on the other hand, didn't Jesus say the "kingdom was within you"?

pick up that Stadavarious (sp?) and play what ever tune ya choose!

Some would say that the "end" for christianity came when xtians refused to accept Muhammed as the "apostle". Reminds me of the "close out sale" the local furniture store has every month. Well actually it alternates with a "moving sale" sometimes! never moves and never closes out, unless you stretch the definitions like a rubber $3 bill.

actually Jesus said the "kingdom is in your midst" when answering the Pharisees, read Luke 17:20-21

Hebrews 12:28 does not say that.

-- Matt. 6:10

Matt 6:10 does not say that

We are in that time now, when God is making His "choices" of who shall lead among His people.

    Unsubstantiated claim

    Ya know Frenchy,

I think prophecy is like a large Rorschach test. Everybody gets to see it their way and they all get to argue that the way they see it is the right way. They also can apply it to their special time in history. People have been doing that for 2000 years and will do it for the next 2000 at least.
