  As the claim is that Jesus chose The Bible Students as his FDS in 1919, surely he did not choose a Corporation, the WBTS,nor did He choose just the directors, but the claim is He chose this whole group of faithful ones, The Bible Students.

  As over the next few months and years over two thirds of those Bible Students left Rutherford and gang, surely it is logical that they are the ones chosen by Jesus, they remained Bible Students, and exist to this day, but surely Rutherford and Co did not "follow the slave's leading" ??

  the finished mystery on page 144 said they were chosen in 1879 and that it was the CORPORATION that was chosen.

  We would not refuse to treat one as a brother because he did not believe the Society is the Lord's channel. If others see it in a different way, that is their privilege. There should be full liberty of conscience.

  Thanks Ann, so do they still claim that Jesus chose a corporation, "The Society", the WBTS in 1919 ?

  If so, I know they have said in print that the Corporation, the "Society" only exists for legal reasons, so did Jesus give proof positive that He had now finished with the "Society" and the mantle had fallen on JW's, and when did all this happen ?

  The emphasis changed in 2001. You'd have to read the whole thing (it's only short) but this is the essence of it:

  ... Brother Barr told the audience that recently certain members of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses who had been serving as directors and officers voluntarily stepped aside from the boards of directors of all the corporations used by "the faithful and discreet slave" in the United States. Responsible brothers of the other sheep class were elected as replacements.

  This decision is beneficial indeed. It allows members of the Governing Body to spend more time in preparing spiritual food and in otherwise caring for the spiritual needs of the worldwide brotherhood.

  In conclusion, the chairman told his delighted audience: "While various legal and administrative duties have been assigned to experienced overseers, . . . all of them serve under the spiritual direction of the Governing Body ...

  You'll notice that since the 2000s, occurrences of "the Society" have dropped drastically from previous decades.

  So the new light they toss the rank & file one or twice a year will be of better quality than it was prior to 2001 when they were soooo busy???

  The GB was "disfellowshipped" from Jehovah's Heavenly Organization on November 10, 1992. They were told they had become the prophesied "evil slave" and "man of lawlessness." This fulfills 2 Thess 2 that requires that the revelation of the "man of lawlessness" must take place before the second coming, which it did. Exactly 45 days after their notification of being cast out into spiritual darkness and identified as the MOL, the 2nd coming took place (Decebger 25, 1992).

  Originally, in the 7th Volume, Russell was promoted as being the "faithful and wise servant" which later in 1927 was called "creature worship." But it is still "creature worship" if this title is maintained for several individuals who are supposed to have more authority and selective inspiration, when the Bible clearly notes that all the anointed have inspiration. The self-elevated position of the GB as "God's channel" made them a god above the other "gods (anointed) as described at 2 Thessalonians 2, where within God's own house (the WTS) the GB rises up to make itself a god.

  Who then really is the "faithful and discreet slave" whom Jehovah appoints over all his belongings? It is LAZARUS! In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus we see the "rich man" associated with spiritual food. This is the GB; Lazarus is cast off at the time dealing with his spiritual weaknesses. But in the end, Lazarus rises up to be approved by Jehovah, going to his "bosom position" (messianic), whereas the "rich man" is in torment and rejected. So in the end, the FDS is none other than Jesus Christ. The WTS' GB becomes the "evil slave", "false prophet", and "man of lawlessness" as we are witnessing.

  The apostasy within God's own house and the apostasy of the GB just before Armageddon is prophesied in scripture and is now takking place.
