I've heard that all foreign translations did not contain the beating part, it was merely formulated as opposing.

Yeah that is right. It is rendered that way in the Swedish and Spanish version...

On my dutch version it mentioned that he went aggressive this is also in German but other european countries contain the term Hit in their translation.

I wonder if the fallout started early inside Brooklyn and they realized they had to tone it down for the rest of the world? Like, that way they can blame the "hit me" on a typo miss-translation etc

I done did it...Downloaded the offending Kool-Aid edition and the Dumbed Down edition...just in case.
I also sent part of the article to several domestic violence organizations in my area.
Excellent videos. It's no wonder this crap was printed in the JW-only version of the Washtowel. The public would never stand for this!
