Flood stories do not support the Noachian flood at all. All they proves is that huge, devastating floods are within the common historical experience of human cultures - that's all. . . . steve2

Good point Steve . . . and relevant.

Interestingly, most of the commonality in flood legends originates from the same period 10-15,000 years ago. Coincidentally this was still in the melt stage from the last inter-ice-age. Large and regular floods would have been a common feature around that time, and while being a global phenomena, would have been multiple localised events.

I've been to Chile! It's alot like California mixed with the Rockies. Earthquakes, volcanos, ocean very close, dessert on other side of coastal mountains, etc. Like Sizemilk said, this land is changing. . . alot!

Once upon a time a pod of Whales was swimming along minding their own business when a tidal wave caused by an off shore earthquake, hurls the entire pod of Whales onto dry land and then receeds leaving the Whales a half a mile or so away from the beach. The whales die...the bones are found a million years later.

    The End.

Ahhh . . . these were the whales of old . . . the whales of fame. Offspring of angels they were.

xyz . . . once upon a time a lot of shit happened alright. There's evidence of tsunami debris here (NZ) over 100 km's inland. Geologists estimate a wave at least 100m high when it hit the coast travelling at over 100mph. As there was little corresponding evidence from other Pacific coasts, it is concluded it was the result of a large off-shore earthquake. That can make one hell of a flood legend.

We have frequent whale beachings too (we try to throw them back). On one part of the coast, the indigenous Maori have been "mining" whalebone from the same graveyard for centuries. It's massive. It's already well above the high tide line. The surface of this planet is more like a rollercoaster than a stage.

So, according to the Creationists the Noachian Flood happened about 7 million years ago ? or do they just not listen to the facts ? what a silly question, of course they don't.

Nope...the Bible says there was a flood...so it happened...end of story. These whale bones prove that everything the Watchtower has taught us is absolutely true and we're all gonna die at Armageddon for sure !

    (Wink !)

No No no. . . the whale DID die 7 million years ago in the ocean. But 4,500 years ago a global flood washed the 7,000,000 year old bones into the Chilean desert and happened to lay the bones back down in the shape of a dead whale.

It's Pinnochio's fault! He is the antichrist for making Monstro beach himself and decompose there!

Either that or the whale was alive, but 7,000,000 years old at the time of the flood. . .

Hey, it could happen! Stuff lived longer when there was a 40ft thick water canopy overhead.
