According to The Finished Mystery, the 7 angels with the trumpets were 7 messengers to the church -- Paul, John, Arius, Waldo, Wycliffe, Luther, and Pastor Russell. This was the book that was published right before Jesus allegedly inspected the organization and decided they were the faithful and discreet slave organization dispensing spiritual meet in due season.

Apparently, the mystery wasn't really finished, though, because assemblies were held in the next decade and they became the trumpets.

Which, if either, of these explanations came from Jehovah's holy spirit? Where did the other one come from?

"To resolve difficult questions" is the assignment of the GB, you say.

Joseph, without the GB or the glorified Christ knew the dream and it's interpretation. How? I mean why do we need the GB? Joseph didn't need it. Why does the GB say the world needs them?

Your opening post quotes the "Reasoning" book explanation of how Bible understanding is supposedly reached by the GB.

It is noteworthy that no individual JW may come to an undersatnding that is different from what the GB/Writing Committee are printing at present, if they do they are DF'd for apostasy. So each individual JW is totally reliant upon the explanations he is fed by the GB.

The GB/Writing dept. come to their present understanding based on former mistaken views held by their predecessors and a misunderstanding of who are god's servants, the Holy Spirit cannot have any connection to errors and lies.

BTW, the "book" he is releasing with Janus publishing (Janus is a two faced pagan god, BTW), is a self-publishing company.

N.drew - God has changed the tools He uses nowadays to disseminate spiritual light, Paul's letter to the Hebrews confirmed that. Nowadays, God uses the son (Jesus Christ) and the GB are the slaves of that son.

Ding - Spiritual light had become brighter since Russel's time. Check the book of Proverbs to confirm that. Russel's light had been switched off and replaced by a new bulb.

I like how you reference ALL the proverbs when alluding to the Watchtower's new light doctrine. "The proverbs say the Watchtower is right, just look for yourself!"

Anyone who posts on a forum has published works. I feel special.

wobble - In the book of Titus, the bible encourages us to speak in unity, If individual JWs start coming up with their own different interpretations, what would we make of that?. Our lord is one and christ is one, even if we tend to have different ways to arrive at a point, the destination must be thesame but the route may be differen

So we are proceeding backwards. Do you have a good reason to suggest why?
