Just watched the Anderson Cooper show on the FLDS. They are really messed up, and make JW's look like angels.
He should do one on the ORG and the shunning, and pressure not to go to University issues.

One Mormon x wife mentioned that they hide behind the Constitution, and prevent their members from exercising their rights.
Does that sound familiar?
Dateline already tried it. Pretty good swing, but even I didn't know what to believe about that. It did get me to visit the Silent Lambs website, though, even back then, I think. But I was too scared to pursue it further, so I stayed in for 8 more horrible years...

They are doing a show about estrangement of family members, if enough JW's provide experiences and sign up, perhaps it will help motivate a show.
I started a thread about it here ... http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/social/family/215883/1/Are-you-estranged-from-a-parent-or-child
Here is the link again to sign up at Anderson Cooper's website. They are the ones soliciting for people to sign up on the subject.
If you are shunned by family or know some who are, sign up, pass it on.
This is an important thread, so I'm bumping it.
Bumping this thread again
I AM SURE AS SOON AS A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS RUNS FOR PRESIDENT IN THE GOP PARTY, HE'LL DO A SHOW ON JWS!
SKEETER
Skeeter ... Anderson Cooper has a new syndicated talk show, similar to "Oprah", the program is looking for experiences of family members who are estranged. The df'd/da'd JW experience isn't specifically what they are looking for, but lends itself well to the subject. Perhaps if enough ex-JW's sign up it will have a positive result.
I think it is a legal thing,,, otherwise, Oprah would have done it. (and let's face it, Cooper is the 'new' Oprah,, they are friends, he's her 'replacement')
We all know how the society has a lockdown on the legalities, and they would have to be MIGHTY careful about what was said.

Actually, Oprah did do a thing about the ORG. She had a family who refused a blood transfusion for their child, and the Courts intervened. The family became grateful for that action and went public. This was aired a long time ago. It actually aired before Ray Franz left and wrote his COC book.
