So I'll just add that I get where you're coming from and know the feeling. For me it is not neccessarily depressing, but there is a pain there knowing your parents are basically drooling frontal-lobotomized drones.

Dont know anything about you kiddo, Why is your mothers opinion important to you ? so important that you feel the need to post here ? I only ask because seeking my parents or anyone elses approval, was/is irrelevent ? infact If my parents approved, I would really be concerned.
