At least the Spelling Mansion in LA finally sold for it's asking price of 150 million and JP Morgan Chase has reported record profits. How bad can things be?

They are stuffing their pockets with our tax dollars and with debt that our children and grandchildren will have to pay for. We are being enslaved by debt and inflation is raising the prices of everything and destroying the value of our savings. We will be taxed to death to pay for this (while they get special tax treatment). GE got billions in our money, has billions in record profits, but paid no tax last year. The GE CEO sits in the White House. The Treasury Secretary is a tax cheat. Taxes are for the little people. The Chairsatan of the Federal Reserve is destroying our currency, and will put us in the poorhouse.

The Prez said he was going to spread the wealth around. Yeah right. In fact he is. This regime is picking our pockets and giving it to the banksters, it is no different than what we had before under Bush. The Constitution is dead. There is no Law. They get unconstitutional bailouts, but the middle class gets stagflation, taxes, and misery. This can't last forever.

I must agree with you Prodigal Son. Indeed there is a global consciousness arising and still more to come. We are tired...tired because of the greed and corruption that exists in the world today and our governments. I'm tired to work for the international banking system, tired to give my money to the "Golden Boys" of this international banking system that sucks our blood. I'm tired to see the same politicians been recycled over and over again, promising me for a better days to come if I vote for them...as I said more countries are on the footsteps of Greece, Ireland, Portugal...

Botchtowersociety: That is a nice picture of the "guy" or dog should I say that was around in the Hellenic emails...Indeed THE DOG IS THE BRAIN behind all this troubles and demonstrations!!!

Ixthis: Ela adelfe, kalitera na to egrafes sta agglika!!! Well Ixthis has posted from a famous Hellenic Monk Paisios, died in 1994, but before he died he said very interesting things about Greece today. Actually he said to a Greek Pilot, Captain of the Hellenic Airforce, " that a time would come when people will get sick of their politicians and they will go after them. Many things will happen in Greece and in the world that you will not be able to explain them with logic..."

This is what happens when a government goes bankrupt and can no longer afford to pay for its socialist programs.

Oh Woods that's a simplistic silly comment. There is corruption and a host of other problems to speak of. Some of the countries doing fairly well in this global downturn are far more socialist.

Sausage! If I were there, I'd set up a souvlaki and ouzo stand. Make a killing.

    Interesting times.

There was global unrest a hundred or so years ago as well, much of it rooted in social and economic injustice, one consequence of which was the Russian Revolution.

Are we headed for another revolution somewhere?

    More update....

Those who had their heads covered with hoods, are the ones who managed to brake the demonstration. This ones have nothing to do with large crowd of millions demonstrating peacefully for the last month. This people are government pawns, and they are the same people who destroyed the center of Athens a year ago, and killed 3 people who worked at a bank.

Suddenly after a year the appeared again and managed to destroy this large demonstration by firing to the police molotov bombs...

That is a big part of the picture. But the stupidity is also enabled by easy credit--bankster debt. Easy credit facilitates idiocy. The Greeks would never have gotten in this much trouble otherwise. The EU central bank policy is a failure. It created a credit bubble in the PIIGS countries, just like our own Federal Reserve Bank created a credit bubble here. The popping of the bubble is making the continuation of socialist programs here unsustainable (not that they are sustainable, they are being funded by debt). The tide is falling, and all the filth at the bottom of the bay is seeing the light of day.

Municipalities are starting to default, and soon there will be whole states defaulting. Greece will default--guaranteed.

    Exactly, James.

The Wisconsin rhubarb was/is NOT similar to the Greek uprising. A bunch of overpaid, underperforming union parasites were throwing a tantrum over a teensy cut in their fat benefits and were about to have their corrupt Dem/Union money laundering scheme of "collective bargaining" brought down to earth.

The chickens are coming home to roost for socialist governments all over the world. The US is coming late to the party but will get to this point eventually thanks to big unions and progressive libs, ala, the Wisconsin shake down.
