In the 1971 yearbook it talks about a member getting expelled as a shareholder of the watchtower society.

    "

The report of the Secretary and Treasurer, Grant Suiter, showed that on October 1, 1969, there were 471 members and that during the course of the year there was a drop in membership of thirteen persons, twelve by death and one by expulsion, thus leaving the membership at 458 as of October 1, 1970. "

    I wonder who?

after 1972 they stopped publishing the number of member/ shareholders of the pennsylvania corporation. The # of shareholders was 450 in 1971.

my question is after a shareholder of the WTBS died what happened to their membership/ share??

Interesting topic. Your question will provoke a range of guesses. I suspect the Watchtower shareholders would have had shares in 'theory'only as a legal requirement of any legally incorporated body rather than as actual bonds. I wonder too if Ray Franz ever wrote about this? I'll stay tuned to see what answers you get.

Hoser , This is the only "knowledge" I can add.

I know of one shareholder alive and kicking, not of the anointed but he was a Gilead graduate and Branch Overseer, for many years.

Hi Hoser, There are only so many up for "grabs".

He was in a high administrative job. A "high" boot licker, if you will. Or a good drone. Whichever title you choose to use.
