The expression: "Jawbone of a Horse's Ass" .....

    When I was growing up, an old brother in the congregation would often use this expression. I never knew that others used it until I saw it referenced here several years ago in a thread.

    My question is: Had you ever heard this expression before and how long ago?

    I know where the "jawbone of an ass" part came from in the Bible as you mentioned.

    I was just wondering when people started adding the "horse" part to it.

    It might make an interesting QFR in the future.
