Only when you realize you don't have all the answers
are you able to ask the right questions.
If you think you KNOW why would you investigate?
Look at the Jehovah's Witness mindset. They never say, "We may have the Truth." This would be humble.
They state absolutely "We have the Truth."
Watchtower articles do not preface their articles with humility, caution, tentative exposition or cautionary skepticsim.
This is how they get themselves in a bind and create failure scenarios. The topdown nature of this "theocratic organization" takes
as a proved given the absolute certainty of SOURCE.
For them, the SOURCE of their writings, pronouncements, articles, prophetic utterances
and chronology and theology is ALMIGHTY GOD (Jehovah.)
The history of their success/failure ratio is astounding in view of this! Even a guess would yield better results than 100% failure!
It all starts with THINKING YOU HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS which prevents ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS.
Here are some suggested questions for the Governing Body to consider.
1.What makes us accept that either Pastor Russell or J.F.Rutherford were divinely guided considering their many failures?
2.What is the number one cause of the necessary changes in belief and New Light?
3.Why isn't the continuous failure of official dates for Armageddon refuting proof that Jehovah is not guiding the preaching work?
4.Why are world conditions always enough proof that these are END TIMES when those conditions were always a failed source in the past?
5.The Mormon church is a 19th century invention of one man which became successful and mainstream with many social safety nets for its members.
Jehovah's Witnesses are a 19th century invention of one man who have no social safety nets for members and are considered cultish. With that in mind,
what harm is there in the Watchtower Society providing more real world benefits for its members? (Daycare, hospitals, schools, colleges, women's shelters, charity.)
6.When the 1000 year reign was attached to the 1975 preaching messege (about the end of 6000 years of man's existence) the arrival of Armageddon
was made a no-brainer by that reasoning. In view of that, why did the Watchtower predict significant happenings in the first place and why is this
event never mentioned again? The brothers and sisters who followed Watchtower advice were blamed for doing so; how is this reasonable?
7.Very few converts are ever made by the thousands of hours of door to door work. Why aren't more effective methods ever used if the preaching message is so URGENT? Radio, Television, Internet, Blogs, Podcasts and viral videos work for everybody else. Why not the Watchtower?
