The Society at the time believed that some demons or fallen angels were honest and could be saved and return to God's organization. [6] Angels and Women, they believed, was channeled or "dictated" to the author by one such fallen angel who was honest and told the truth about pre-flood conditions on earth.

According to Rutherford there was nothing wrong with that publication. Let's remember that Rutherford was directed by angels.

    Did you mean Russell?
He believed many things not taught today by the witnesses.

That Jesus died on a cross
That Armageddon would start in 1914

As far back as 1883 he even preached about climate change and how the earth would slowly go back to paradise Eden like conditions, iincluding the Melting of Greenland's Ice sheet , the Artic and Antartic Polar ice caps would slowly melt and there would be a a general warming of the earth.

    Good catch, headspinning!

IMO Russell was much less of a control freak than the current F&DS.

Kind of sounds like the plot for Dogma, which is an awesome movie!!!! I had to add.

Snoozy, transhuman68: Rutherford (not Russell). Russell had passed away by that time.

Snoozy, since this was published in 1924, the endorsement is clearly Rutherford's (Russell died in 1916).
