Snail mail is not as easy to ignor, or reply to.

This is frustrating because JW family members simply deny anything printed, or even saved in the hard drive, assuming it's a fabricated apostate document.
When it was a direct link from the UN, it was much more credible. There is enough evidence, but it's never enough for hardcore JWs.

It can still be found using internet archives.
The wayback machine gives a snapshot of history so can be used to demonstrate that it was on the UN website.

The above link is your proof that it was on the UN website.
It is up to the person who claims it wasn't on the UN Website to provide the evidence to prove his position. A letter from Paul Hoeffel, on a UN letterhead, would be pretty convincing.

Problem is, your average JW doesn't know what the Wayback Machine is, and can easily dismiss it as part of Satan's worldly propaganda.
It is better than nothing, but not as good as if it was still hosted at the UN site.

If this true (WTS got the UN to remove) then I'll just have to enjoy the irony that the WTS can't shout 'a victory' from the rooftops!
Shame if it is not there - it really was a credible evidence.

That's why you make it their responsibility to prove that Wayback has been dishonest in putting up those snapshots.
The other problem is that you are trying to tell them stuff, when they have been taught to not listen. Play their game. They have been taught that they have the truth and that they have knowledge that can save you ............. so ................. just ask questions ............ then they have to provide the documentation .... and the explanations. All you have to do is control the conversation to keep them on your chosen topic.
