Freedom...it is an awesoem thing !

We all want freedom of expression, but don't like it one someone expresses things we don't agree with.

We all want freedom of choice, but hate it when people chose to do "evil".

But without those options, what freedom do we really have?

I don't always agree or even like to read the things I read on here sometimes, but people are allowed to express their views, agreement is irrelevant.

I would rather learn about what people think and feel, than be surprised by it.

BrotherJackWagon should be kidnapped and forced by tortue to continue posting his whiny tales of woe here on JWN. That is the meaning of "Christian Freedom," isn't it? In other cultures it is called "dance, you frikkin' monkey-boy, DANCE!"

As for what should happen to BrotherDan, I have no opinion.

I wish BrotherDan well.

I cannot pretend to know what he is going through but perhaps my perspective can offer some insight.

A year ago, I had to make a choice whether or not I wanted to be a Jehovah's Witness. Well, I did not really have to make that choice but my wife's choice to 'progress in the truth' made me realize that I needed to reevaluate what my beliefs were and whether or not they jived with the Bible. I was confounded by them and began to believe that they were all that they claimed to be, so I had to investigate further.

What a difference a year makes. After verifying that most of the WT claims were demonstratably false, I embrace my original protestant beliefs only to later learn that there are issues there too.

The blissful ignorance has been shattered, and truth be told, I'm actually okay with that. It helps me to be more pragmatic about things.

I can imagine that Brother Dan is going through something similar. He left the witnesses after discovering their lies and embraced the fundamentalist version of the protestant beliefs searching for certainty.
