WTS introduction video for new bethel workers

I just watched and downloaded the funny WTS introduction video for new bethel workers from youtube.com.

I watched it, and I had to laugh much. About the interviews with the GB members.

Some you can not understand because their age. Great fun!

And then came the great sadness. These GB members ruled about our lives. These simple people. With strange ideas and strange behavior for church leaders!

And then came the understanding:

These very old GB members can not be church leaders of a organization like the Watchtower Society.

Making decisions about financial investments, buildings and property, strategy and long time decisions.

That makes me think about one question: who are the real leaders of the WTS instead of the old puppets?

It didn't take long for the "Governing Body Arrangement" to fail. Once Knorr died, the business had to keep running on inertia, as there wasn't anyone with business sense left in charge. Some time after the 1980 Ray Franz fiasco it seems the attorneys began to be entrusted with more and more authority. Then just around the turn of the century the religious side of the corporation split off from the corporate side. From that time on, (and probably for at least a decade before that) the GB were mere puppets of the lawyers and executives who actually run things.

I'm not even sure the corporation president Don Adams (not Maxwell Smart) is really in charge. There are lawyers and businessmen who make the decisions. The Borg company men just rubber-stamp them.

don't let them fool you, the company is non-prophit but the head honchos can take hefty paychecks

I too wonder how these old men, who mainly had "watchtower-education", can run the corporation.
But who actually runs the wt, who has the final say or who makes the big decisions I only hear nothing more then rumours?
CEO's also have lawyers and business counsellors, but they still run the show. Because they decide whom they ask for advise and if the advice is followed.

Is there any proof that the lawyers or anyone else has more authority than the GB?

Sadly their actions make them appear as puppets, but they are still the ones running the show.

Inept, that's all I can say.
