"Mr Watson, may I put you on hold?"

I think I've figured it out. Being raised a Jehovah's Witness, it's like my life has been "on hold" for 50 years. Pathetic.

While we've been hoping.....the rest of the world has been living.

Sad indeed Watson. I feel the same way

    But we're living now!

    Happy Holidays to you!

So now we've worked that out let's get living.

"Waiting on Jehovah" -- this is how my parents lived their lives once they started getting more involved with the cult and definitely after we kids grew up and moved out. They became reactive people. It struck me just how much the JWs I knew were totally going against habits that support a creative, effective, productive, healthy life. My Dad recently said "What will be will be." He plans nothing and does nothing. It makes me sad to see this. It is such a waste.

As for you, Mr. Watson, there was another famous line which I think would be one for you to relate to now....

"Mr. Watson, come here. I need you."

While it was Alexander Graham Bell who is reported to have said this, I think it applies to you as well, at least regarding your input here on JWN. I am sure there are many other life situations that it applies to as well.

Another line I love is from Shawshank Redemption spoken by Andy Dufresne: "Get busy living or get busy dying."

When you are not allowed to trust your own heart and mind, when you are told not to think for yourselves, how can you do anything but shrivel up and die? It is what I have seen in my family as well as other JWs I know.

I am living better now...just in a sort of parallel universe. Some people call it a "double life." Some family are in so deep, I don't want to break hearts. (Waiting for thrashing from Wing and Moshe)

Elementary, my dear Watson? For me that's more of a big "No shit, Sherlock!" :D

The thing about "Waiting On Jehovah" is that it goes against the whole concept of Organization in the first place. Nobody starts organizations for the purpose of waiting on God. An organization is all about getting things done so that nobody has to wait for anything! We're not preaching enough? Maybe the GB should Wait On Jehovah. David can't "Splane" WTF a "generation" is supposed to mean? Maybe the GB should Wait On Jehovah. Judicial Committees disfellowshipping offenders? Maybe they should Wait on Jehovah...

    Jehovah`s Witness`s..

    Waiting on Jehovah..
