This was a surprisingly good movie. But i couldn't understand some of the lines because of the British accent. It was witty, intriguing, mysterious, and excellent ending.
I think i'll rent it on video next year and turn on the closed captioning to get all the nuances.
I would give it 4 outta 4 stars.

Hope you're feeling better. Thanks for the recommendation...I want to see Gosford Park, thought it looked good. "Witty, intriguing and mysterious" eh?? Careful or you'll have all the Brits on the board stroking their egos at our expense! Oh, right...forgot they ALREADY do that!

Thanks for the review, Patio34. I wasn't sure if I should see that movie or not. I love period setting movies, but I wasn't sure if it was kind of morbid. (There's a death scene, I believe.) Anyway, I guess now I will have to see it.

Gosford Park is a park on the Gosford street in Coventry.
I sure hope the mvie wasnt about that. Id rather watch grass grow. And not the grass in the park.
It's one of the best movies of the year, quite amusing, not morbid at all, and not really a murder mystery. It's about people, and the plot is mostly irrelevant. Great fun.
Whadaya mean you had trouble because of the British accent? There are many British accents on the board. Do you have trouble with any of our posts? Harrumph!

Sigh. Coventry is a lovely city. No trip to Britain is complete without being sent to Coventry. If you have time, take in the delights of next door Birmingham too. An experience that will give you memories for a lifetime!

I agree with you Seeker, that it is one of the best flicks. No, there was nothing morbid about it. What a zany bunch of characters. Such tough hunters having such a rugged cook-out, huh?

Gosford Park was supposed to have been released here weeks ago, but for some reason it has been put on hold.
Oh yeah, Logi, Coventry has got the most god-awful inner ring road in the whole of the UK. Those stupid scissor intersections are a night mare. Stay out of The Ball pub too......
