This depends, if a person assumes that the snake in Eden was Satan
and that in a sense Adam and Eve did not die immediately (you will not die)
and that they would be like God knowing good and bad (definitely knew eating was bad because they hid)

People of all religions throughout all the ages have been willing to die for their beliefs. They die for nationalistic reasons as well. Many are willing to die for the sake of integrity to some ideal.

Not really, BUT and this is a big BUT, the lie that Satan convinced people and still does to this day is the lie that we don't need God.
