because I nagged him about his drinking

Okay. Not to nitpick, but you do not nag a spouse about their drinking. It does not do any good. What you do is hide their trousers when they pass out. When they wake up you do not know what they did with their trousers. Let them sort it out. Say nothing about the drinking part. Let them connect the dots.

Kurt - that's funny. Of course, half the time they really have lost something without any help from their spouse.
((((Mouthy)))), I love to hear what you have to say. I love to learn from yours and others experiences. I think 'OLD FOLKS' have a lot of wisdom to teach and it must be frustrating that so many people treat them as if they're children and should be indulged.
