i was worried about this problem and was told by an elder it was kept under lock and key at his house ! years later i asked a jw who asked a different elder who said it would have been destroyed due to the data protection act ! dont know what happened really , but would rather get it back as it was extremly private and full of details of my affair with a pioneer !

brotherdan: do you have any actual examples of this occurring? Just curious. Also... I thought that publisher cards get thrown out every like 5 or 10 years. Not sure. My Dad is an elder.

I have seen an elder holding a letter in his hand that one of my relitives wrote nearly 40 years earlier. I could not beleive it and wanted to wipe his a$$ with it.
I have never heard a straight answer out of any elder and would not ask them anything...
