As they said in Monty Python's "The Life Of Brian"

Brians Mum "He's not the Messiah he's a very naughty boy"....but the crowd insist that Brian speaks to them

Brian " You dont need to follow anyone You are all individuals You've got to work it out for yourselves , Don't let ANYONE tell you what to do..

As jw's we were taught how to make people doubt their own belief, attempting to point out logical flaws and inconcistencies in their beleif. So, the WTS taught us, that once we have broken down peoples original belief, we needed to be ready to replace it with the JW's belief. The same argument went with the biblestudies we may have had; we should be ready to replace the friends they lost (as per preassumption) with ourself and "friends" in the congregation.

It is just the learned WT-strategy to draw people into the Organisation, that is unconsciently reapplied on other issues.

Suppose you met a person whose faith requires that they disembowel every kitten they encounter.

You can point out that this needless cruelty does nothing either for the kitten or improving the human condition.

    Are you correct or not?

Do you then have to provide them with some alternative, say disembowelling puppies, because you have proved their first convictions wrong.

Just because you can show anybody how wrong say the Watchtower Religion actually is, does not bring along with it an obligation to PROVE to them that some other delusional mind set is true.

Why, the WT has been slowing replacing their original religion with a new one, since at least 1914! The JWs are too stupid to notice that.

Yes, and you shouldn't tell your neighbor his house is on fire unless you're prepared to offer him a replacement house either.......

As a group, JW's are champions of the logical fallacy
