Congrats! You are becoming worldly and outside of that wacky religion (and other tightly controlled religious groups), that is considered a good thing.
Even more than elsewhere in life, Attitude Is Everything with respect to minimizing the inevitable pain that comes from such a monumental change in your life. I think it's cool that you've been able to see so quickly and clearly that the positives outweigh the negatives by a long shot.
